Goalkeeping Development

The position of Goalkeeper is taken on by an individual who is committed.  It is an important part of the spine of a team. This requires specialized training and development to play the position.

For a young goalkeeper, they must prioritize the development of the 4 pillars of goalkeeping, technical, tactical, psychological, and physical. Developing technical and tactical foundations are the most important to gain confidence as they gain experience that will help build on the psychological and physical part of the game. Our Club and Goalkeeping Development Programs are committed to building the 4 pillars to help the Goalkeepers achieve their goals in the game.

We have comprehensive Goalkeeping Programs designed “To Make You A Better Goalkeeper.”

• “B” License Out-Field Coach / BC Soccer Certified Goalkeeping Instructor

• Women’s University Goalkeeping Coach

• BCSPL/HP Boys Goalkeeper Coach (Burnaby FC)

• Developed several Vancouver Whitecaps Rex/Residency goalkeepers

Dino Alberti

• Represented British Columbia at U16 and U18 and played internationally with Canadian Youth and Olympic teams
• Played professionally for the New York Cosmos of the NASL, 2 NASL Championships (1980, 1982)
• Developed several Vancouver Whitecaps Residency goalkeepers
• Longtime goalkeeper coach with Cliff Avenue United FC
