Burnaby B.C.(October 10, 2023) Burnaby FC today announced the details of their first Remembrance Day Tournament to be held on Monday, November 13 at Burnaby Lake Sports Complex.All female teams ages U8-U18 are invited to participate in the tournament which will feature small-sided games throughout the day.
This fun one-day event encourages teams to bring their own food and tents to the venue in a return to the tent alley which was a feature of this tournament under Burnaby Girls SC. The tournament will also include several other activities including team shootouts as well as goody bags and an on-site DJ.
BFC will donate a portion of the proceeds towards two charities:the Dixon Society, a Burnaby transition society which provides shelter, guidance and hope for women and children fleeing violence. KidSport Burnaby will also receive a portion of the tournament registration fees. KidSport provides grants to help cover the cost of registration fees enabling children18 and under to play sports.
