Burnaby FC is proud to announce today a partnership with Quoia Therapeutics.
In what can only be described as a groundbreaking moment in the climate of youth sport in British Columbia, Quoia Therapeutics will provide integrated mental health services for all Burnaby FC club members and staff.
“Since childhood, I have had a passion for sport as a foundation for health and happiness,” said Quoia Therapeutics Clinical Director, Britta Regan West. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with Burnaby Football Club and offer my clinic’s services to our community’s players and families as well as the teams, coaches and BFC staff.”
QUOIA Therapeutics has delivered specialized mental health, assessment, counselling, and consulting services to Burnaby for over a decade. Supporting the performance, mental health, and wellness of BFC’s community is QUOIA’s new mission in 2023 and we look forward to contributing to the positive sporting culture of Burnaby.
Quoia Therapeutics will provide a variety of services and will be a strong presence at Burnaby FC. Services offered will include but are not limited to:
- Reduced wait times and preferred rate for out-patient therapy sessions
- Consultation with Burnaby FC coaches and staff
- Educational presentations and workshops to Burnaby FC members and staff
- Online education and courses specific to mental health and wellness
- Critical incident stress response

Being able to provide support for the wellness of our youth and families, Burnaby FC recognizes the importance of integrating programs that address not only physical health, but psychological, social, and emotional health as well,” said Senior Staff Coach Female Football and Character Development, Kim Bull.
“We are beginning to understand the relation between holistic health with enhanced on field performance but even more importantly, we are recognizing every individual’s journey is different and requires varied levels of support. The partnership with Quoia Therapeutics is monumental and sets a new standard of care for athletic organizations in the community.”
