Fall/Winter PROGRESSION U14-U18 (2012-2008)

Progression (Div 2 and 3 U14-U17 / Div 1 U18)


A program for beginners, returning players and players new to BFC. Curriculum’s follow the most up-to-date sport science backed program design that are age-appropriate for players at all levels. Coaches and Players are trained consistent with the BFC Tech Plan to align with the BFC Global Player and BFC Game Model.  


The BCCSL season runs from September – end of February (depending on Coastal Cup run)


All BFC players will receive new Match Kit for the 2025-2026 season.

Kit: BFC Match Jersey, Away BFC Match Jersey, Match Shorts, Home Sleeves (Socks), BFC Training Jersey, Training Socks


The 2025-2026 Fall/Winter BCCSL Schedule will be posted in late August.

Games: 1 Game/Week (Boys on Saturdays / Girls on Sundays)


Sessions: Minimum of 1/Week (Teams who wish to train more than 1/week, may do so depending on coach and field availability).

Training times and locations will be announced in late August once we have the field allotments from the City.


$525 (Early Discount)

Fees are valid until May 15 as an Early Discount. All fees after May 15 will have a $50 increase. BFC cannot guarantee roster spots for registrations received later than July 1. If you require financial assistance, you will need to complete your registration to guarantee your spot.

Progression High Performance (Div 1 U14-U17)


Players at Burnaby Football Club are identified for progression through ongoing evaluations conducted by our Technical Leads, Head Coaches, and structured player assessments.

Players who demonstrate the ability to compete at a higher level may be invited to join our High-Performance Program based on recommendations from our Technical Leads, Senior Staff Coaches and Head Coaches.

As part of their regular duties, our coaching staff closely monitor training sessions and games to ensure players are appropriately challenged in their current environment. When necessary, player movement between divisions may occur during the season to support individual development and maximize potential.

Program Focus:

  • Ongoing development of technical skills with a growing competitive focus.
  • Reinforcing the importance of training in player growth and performance.
  • Expanding tactical understanding to improve decision-making and game awareness.
  • Supporting physical and mental growth for overall well-being and athletic progression.
  • Continuous player evaluation and development to ensure long-term success.

Training times and locations will be determined  in late August once we have our field allotments from the City. Times and locations will then be added to PlayMetrics.

HP fees are broken down into three payments. All HP players are by invitation only. Parents/players should register with the base fee as this is required for all players and is valid until May 15 (Early Discount) and will then increase by $50.

HP invitations will be sent beginning June 2 (for Fall/Winter) and to secure an HP spot parents/players will be required to pay the HP Fall fee (a link will be sent with the invitation). Due to high interest in obtaining an HP position and the need to provide other players a chance to consider other options, invitees are required to accept the invitation and pay all fees within 7 days (no exceptions) to secure their spot or advise the Club they are not accepting the position. Those requiring financial assistance or an alternative payment plan must contact the Operations Manager within seven days of receiving their invitation. BFC reserves the right to move players at the end of the Fall assessment window (December 2025). Those who stay at the HP level beyond December will be asked to pay the Winter fee.

Progression BCSPL


The BCSPL is the top High Performance youth level, with the focus on player development targeting promotion to BC Provincial program, post-secondary opportunities, as well as Vancouver Whitecaps MLS Boys / Vancouver Rise Girls Academy with designated BFC Staff Coaches.

Registration is by invitation only. If you are interested in being evaluated for a spot at BCSPL please submit a player evaluation request.


BCSPL training will start in mid-August. BC Soccer will operate a Fall/Winter BCSPL season for the first time beginning in September 2025.


All BFC players will receive new Match Kit in the 2025-2026 season.
