Burnaby FC Partners with Strive

Burnaby, BC (July 31, 2023) – Burnaby Football Club is proud to announce a partnership with Strive Health and Performance.

As Burnaby FC continues to pursue providing the highest standards of care to our members, the partnership with Strive Health and Performance sets a solid foundation to build upon.  Prioritizing the integration of education, prevention, recognition, and rehabilitation related to the physical health of our athletes, Strive will play a crucial role in the processes and programming within the club.

Clinic owner, Dr. Aaron Binstock, will be a familiar face around Burnaby FC as he supports this exciting collaboration.

“Immersing ourselves within the community is part of who we are. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with a club that share a similar vision and set of values. The Strive team is very excited to get to know the Burnaby FC family,” stated Dr. Binstock.

Strive Health and Performance, with clinics in Brentwood and Coquitlam, will support numerous projects at Burnaby FC including but not limited to:

  • Education and presentations for members, coaches, and staff
  • Burnaby FC members to receive preferred pricing
  • Injury Prevention including Functional Screening for athletes and the implementation of a research-based standardized warmup for Burnaby FC
  • Expedited access for the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries
  • Concussion education, baseline testing, sideline technology, and recovery
  • Sideline medical coverage for the home matches of our BCSPL (BC Soccer Premier League) programs

One of the key areas of focus Burnaby FC looks to set itself apart from the competition is female focussed programing. Strive Health and Performance will be working closely with Burnaby FC to stay current with research and services provided to meet the specific needs of female physiology.

“Each discussion with Dr. Binstock has reaffirmed the aligned vision of holistic care for our members. While we still have a long way to go, the research surrounding female physiology and the impact on injuries and performance is clear – we must provide programming tailored to the specific needs of the female athlete.  There is no ceiling as to what is possible, and Strive’s support in the development of unique education and programming for our female athletes will be a game changer,” said Kim Bull, BFC (Burnaby Football Club) Senior Staff of Female Football.

Burnaby FC is building a team of professionals in various fields of expertise who understand that collaboration and a holistic approach to the development and care of athletes, families, and all associated with the club is vital in youth athletics.

“Today’s announcement of our partnership with Strive is a significant event for our Club, as we look to build strong relationships with several key partners in our attempts to form a Club which will endeavour to provide exceptional support to all our members across social, physical, psychological, and emotional heath,” said BFC Executive Director Morgan Quarry.

“When we met Dr. Binstock, we knew right away we had found the right person and clinic. It was clear they were aligned with our desire to not only support our members but to help educate our coaches, athletes, and parents around the importance of sport science, loading and injury prevention and treatment.”

Burnaby FC welcomes Strive Health and Performance into our organization’s family and we look forward to building a strong path forward together in our community.
